Δοκιμές βιοκαυσίμων σε δεξαμενόπλοιο της Capital Ship Management Corp. προωθούν την έρευνα για τη χρήση εναλλακτικών καυσίμων.

Η Capital και η Lloyd's Register (LR) θα πραγματοποιήσουν δοκιμές για τη χρήση βιοκαυσίμων στα πλαίσια νέου πιλοτικού προγράμματος, υποστηρίζοντας τις έρευνες στον κλάδο της ναυτιλίας για καύσιμα χαμηλών έως μηδενικών εκπομπών άνθρακα, σε ευθυγράμμιση με τους στόχους του ΙΜΟ για την μείωση των εκπομπών αερίων θερμοκηπίου (GHG). Η δοκιμή αφορά τη χρήση μείγματος ναυτιλιακού καυσίμου με βιοκαύσιμα στο υπό διαχείριση, από την Capital, δεξαμενόπλοιο μεταφοράς αργού πετρελαίου «Apollonas», χωρητικότητας 300.000 τόνων DWT.

Athens, Greece, January 27, 2022. Six tanker vessels managed by Capital Ship Management Corp., were recently enrolled in the QualShip 21 program by the U.S. Coast Guard.

The Republic of the Marshall Islands Maritime Administrator commended the Master, Officers and Crew of M/T Aristofanis, managed by Capital Ship Management Corp. for the successful rescue of 153 persons on September 23, 2021 from a wooden vessel in distress, approximately 66 nautical miles SSW of Peloponnese in the south of Greece.
 
According to the Republic of the Marshall Islands Maritime Administrator letter signed by William R. Gallagher, Senior Deputy Commissioner of Maritime Affairs: "the rapid response and professional actions taken by Captain Daniel Dumitru and the Crew of M/T Aristofanis are in keeping with the finest traditions of the sea”.

The Hellenic Coast Guard commended the Master, Officers and Crew of M/T Aristofanis, managed by Capital Ship Management Corp. for the successful rescue of 153 persons on September 23, 2021 from a wooden vessel in distress, approximately 66 nautical miles SSW of Peloponnese in the south of Greece. 

Capital Ship Management Corp. to Secure ABS Decarbonization Notations for Current Newbuild Tankers

Athens, Greece, October 6, 2021. Capital Ship Management Corp. ('Capital') in an industry first, is to secure ABS notations recognizing investment in decarbonization technologies for its newbuild orders for medium range tankers.
 
ABS developed the notations with Capital’s input during their extensive program of new construction projects. The HVSC-Ready notation is for vessels equipped for High Voltage Shore Connection systems to be installed in the future, and the Wind-Assist Ready notation is for vessels equipped for wind-assist equipment to be installed on board.
 
The notations, which can be applied to any vessel type, were developed to support industry decarbonization efforts and recognize sustainability investments.

Athens, Greece, November 30, 2020. Capital Ship Management Corp. confirms that at around 21:12 UTC on 29 November 2020 its managed vessel 'Agisilaos' (IMO: 9315745) was involved in a security incident whilst the vessel was transiting the Gulf of Guinea off the coast of Lome, Togo. We can confirm that the vessel was boarded and four crew members were taken from the vessel against their will.

Athens, Greece, November 30, 2020. Capital Ship Management Corp. is responding to a security incident involving its managed oil/chemical tanker 'Agisilaos' (IMO: 9315745; Marshall Islands flag) which occurred at around 21:12 UTC on 29 November 2020 whilst the vessel was transiting the Gulf of Guinea off the coast of Lome, Togo.

M/T ‘Andronikos’ (IMO No: 9830812) released from arrest in Singapore.

Athens, Greece, March 19, 2020. Capital Ship Management Corp. announced that the M/T Andronikos (ex ‘Anbar’) was promptly released from arrest in Singapore after the Owners’ P&I Club posted security and has resumed trading.
