Athens, Greece, January 7, 2021. Capital Ship Management Corp.  is pleased to confirm that all four crew members taken from the Agisilaos (IMO: 9315745)  were released today, following the security incident onboard the vessel on November 29, 2020.

Athens, Greece, November 30, 2020. Capital Ship Management Corp. confirms that at around 21:12 UTC on 29 November 2020 its managed vessel 'Agisilaos' (IMO: 9315745) was involved in a security incident whilst the vessel was transiting the Gulf of Guinea off the coast of Lome, Togo. We can confirm that the vessel was boarded and four crew members were taken from the vessel against their will.

Athens, Greece, November 30, 2020. Capital Ship Management Corp. is responding to a security incident involving its managed oil/chemical tanker 'Agisilaos' (IMO: 9315745; Marshall Islands flag) which occurred at around 21:12 UTC on 29 November 2020 whilst the vessel was transiting the Gulf of Guinea off the coast of Lome, Togo.

M/T ‘Andronikos’ (IMO No: 9830812) released from arrest in Singapore.

Athens, Greece, March 19, 2020. Capital Ship Management Corp. announced that the M/T Andronikos (ex ‘Anbar’) was promptly released from arrest in Singapore after the Owners’ P&I Club posted security and has resumed trading.

Η Capital Ship Management Corp. σήμερα παρέλαβε με επιτυχία το πλοίο M/T ‘Aristofanis’, ένα πλοίο μεταφοράς αργού πετρελαίου, τύπου eco type, χωρητικότητας 115.000 τόνων dwt, από τα ναυπηγεία Daehan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, στη Ν. Κορέα. Είναι το δεύτερο από δύο αδελφά πλοία που παραλαμβάνει η εταιρία τον Ιανουάριο του 2020.

SKF’s marine condition monitoring kit is helping a leading ship operator to manage costs and prevent equipment failure across its fleet.

Athens, Greece, January 14, 2020. A condition-based monitoring program, devised for the marine industry by SKF, enables ship operators control costs and avoid damaging equipment breakdown.

Capital Ship Management Corp. (Capital), has been investigating condition monitoring strategies since 2006, in order to reduce the maintenance costs and minimize the unexpected machinery & equipment breakdown. Together with SKF, Capital came up with an effective strategy by utilizing a new handheld device, launched recently by SKF; the SKF Quick Collect. The company has implemented the solution across a fleet of 30 vessels, with a plan to extend the program for the whole fleet of 56 vessels. SKF helped the company to determine which onboard machines should be regularly monitored.
