M/T 'Agisilaos' Security Incident Update

Athens, Greece, November 30, 2020. Capital Ship Management Corp. (‘Capital’) confirms that at around 21:12 UTC on 29 November 2020 its managed vessel 'Agisilaos' (IMO: 9315745) was involved in a security incident whilst the vessel was transiting the Gulf of Guinea off the coast of Lome, Togo.

We can confirm that the vessel was boarded and four crew members were taken from the vessel against their will.

All other crew members are safe and well and the vessel is now safely at anchorage in Lome, Togo.  

Capital has activated its emergency response team, and is working closely with all relevant authorities to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Our top priority at this moment in time is the safe and timely return of our crew to their loved ones.

Due to the sensitive nature of the incident, we will not be providing further information for the time being.
