Athens, Greece, June 30, 2015. Capital Ship Management Corp. took successful delivery of the newbuilding vessel M/T Amadeus from Samsung Heavy Industries (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. in China today. The M/T Amadeus is a 50,000 dwt, IMO II/III Eco Chemical/Product Tanker. It is the second of eight super-efficient new sister ships with eco-friendly design to be delivered between 2015 and 2016.

M/T Agisilaos Aids the Rescue of Migrants in the Mediterranean Sea

Athens, Greece, June 24, 2015. On Monday June 22, in the evening hours, our vessel M/T Agisilaos,  managed by Capital Ship Management Corp., received instructions by MRCC Malta and MRCC Rome to divert course and take part in the rescue of 220 migrants in distress on board a small boat in the Mediterranean, east of Malta.

After a successful rescue operation, 220 migrants (including women and children) boarded safely. They were accommodated on the deck and provided with all necessary provisions (water, food, milk, blankets etc.). None appeared to require medical...

Capital Ship Management Corp. takes delivery of M/V Akadimos

Athens, Greece, June 10, 2015. Capital Ship Management Corp. took successful delivery of the newbuilding vessel M/V Akadimos from Daewoo-Mangalia Heavy Industries S.A. in Romania today. The M/V Akadimos is a 115,145 dwt / 9,288 teu, Eco-Flex, Wide Beam Containership. The vessel is under time charter to CMA CGM. For the duration of the charter it has been renamed to “CMA CGM Amazon”.

This award is being granted to operators that called the Port of Long Beach in 2014 and demonstrated that 90% or more of all its vessel trips complied with the Green Flag – Voluntary Vessel Speed Reduction Program.

Athens, Greece, October 31, 2014. The Amver ‘Special Rescue Award’ was awarded to Capital Ship Management Corp and the Shipmaster of M/T Arionas, Captain Christian Manole, for the successful rescue of 163 migrants  on June 7, 2014 south of Malta.

It was a major rescue operation, as 163 migrants in distress on board two inflatable boats were safely accommodated on the vessel’s deck and provided with all necessary provisions (water, food, blankets etc.) and disembarked in Augusta Port in Sicily, the next day, June 8, 2014.
