Connecting Classrooms with Vessels

We were happy to be part of a truly special day at the 2nd Primary School of Artemida in Athens, Greece, where the students of class E1 welcomed Capt. Dedelos of M/T Akrisios, along with our Deputy DPA/CSO, HSQE Representative Mr. Konstantinos Kyrou from Capital Ship Management Corp., as part of the “Adopt a Ship – Project Connect” educational program.

The visit was filled with excitement, curiosity, and creativity. The children had the chance to ask questions, learn about life at sea, and hear real stories from the Captain himself. They even performed a song titled “Akrisios”, with lyrics they wrote and music composed by their teacher — a touching moment for everyone present.

It was a joy to witness how inspired the students were, and we’re grateful to share this experience. Moments like this remind us how meaningful it is to bring the maritime world closer to young minds. You can listen to their song here!
