GIVING

• On February 10, 2010, 43 works of art were auctioned from the personal collection of Mr. Evangelos Marinakis, the CEO of Capital Maritime Corp. The proceeds, which amounted to more than 400,000 Euros, were donated to "Together for Children", a union of 10 Non Profit Greek Organisations. The Union’s main aim is to offer every form of assistance to more than 5,000 infants, children and young people in need, and in particular to those facing chronic, serious or life-threatening physical or mental conditions or the sickness or death of an immediate family member.

• On Monday, 25 January, 2010 Mr Evangelos Marinakis, the CEO of Capital Maritime Corp., donated 30,000 Euros to UNICEF in support of the victims of the destructive earthquake in Haiti, in a Radiomarathon organized by UNICEF and Greek media Group SKAI, which raised more than two million Euros. The radiomarathon was also broadcast live by SKAI TV and it involved an auction of paintings by prominent Greek painters and many other activities.
